Magazine Analysis

This image is a very interesting colourful image, which is eye catching to the viewer. The way that the font is set out is very clever as it is white lettering on a black background; this makes it stand out and easier to read, even though there is a more obvious eye catching display of the picture.  The picture of the city is a clever photograph because it a photo of the city at night. This is to show that it’s advertising to the people who live in cities who enjoy the nightlife and go to the clubs.  This genre of music is house music. This music is meant to attract the “ravers” in the city to the clubs. Also to the of “felix da housecat” I think is very clever as it connotes the fact that a cat doesn’t sleep at night and that they are trying to attract the ravers who enjoy this music.

The layout is very good there is allot of information on it but it is very neatly laid out which makes it easier to read.  The font of “felix da housecat” is a kind of electronic looking font, and with the “O” being a vinyl and a towing arm of a turntable.

The advert is a half page this is most likely so that it more like a CD advert for the magazine it doesn’t take up as much space as if they bought the magazine in the next week like the circle in the top right of it says then they will get this CD free.
